Jul. 15th, 2008 09:14 pmHelen's sitting out on the steps of a building in Creem di Leemaa, a good two armspans from the whirling parade. When, occasionally, a brave fool tries to get her to join the dancing she snaps at them. By now most of them have learned their lesson, and keep away.
She has an icy orange drink, and is holding a quiet conversation with the rat sitting in her lap. As the only person in black in all of the world, she kind of sticks out.

She is usually (depending on who you ask) more polite, but she is sick and tired of dealing with the people of Creema di Leema.

"What've you got?"

Date: 2008-07-18 03:44 am (UTC)"I haven't got anything," she is stiffly dignified. "I'm not a merchant. There are shops over there," Helen tilts her head to indicate the other side of the swarming parade-party-street, "though. If you want to get flung around."
A woman in blue with a fox mask on swings towards them and Helen's glare shifts to her. She swings away again.

Date: 2008-07-18 03:48 am (UTC)Shops are not exactly what she's looking for. But where there are shops, there will be people with money.

Date: 2008-07-18 04:22 am (UTC)Um. This is not actually rude, for Helen.

Date: 2008-07-18 04:35 am (UTC)"You do know there's more than one way to travel between worlds, don't you?"

Date: 2008-07-18 04:49 am (UTC)She smirks, and leans lightly against the stair railing. "Guess it's up to you to do the explaining, then."

"So how do you know Jamie?"

Date: 2008-07-22 05:16 am (UTC)Dry: "Well, that's good to know."
A beat, and then idly: "I suppose if anyone tried that here, they'd ... what would they do? Has this place got a Security force?"

Date: 2008-07-23 08:07 pm (UTC)She's got Helen pegged by now: the know-it-all type, who'll tell you almost anything just to show off her store of knowledge. Almost as unwise as showing off your store of cash, and for similar reasons.
"Well, I think I'll go wandering."

Date: 2008-07-27 04:25 am (UTC)"All right," she says with a shrug, and her attention returns to the rat huddled by her feet.
